How we work

Measure first. Then fix what the measurement exposes.

Every engagement runs in the same order, for the same reason: optimising on numbers you cannot trust is how agencies produce excellent reports and flat revenue.

  • You want to know what actually happens, before you sign.
  • You want a partner accountable to revenue, not to impressions.
  • You want to see the work, not a monthly summary of it.
01The problem with how this usually goes

Most engagements start in the wrong place.

The first thing an agency does is usually the thing it sells. That is why so many relationships stall around month six:

  • Campaigns are optimised before anyone checks the numbers underneath them.
  • Channels are briefed separately, so the funnel ends up internally inconsistent.
  • Nobody agreed up front what a result would look like, so nobody can say whether one happened.

We start with an audit that is allowed to conclude you should spend less.

02, The work

Four phases, always in this order.

The order is the method. Each phase depends on the one before it being done honestly.

01

Growth Audit

Weeks 1–2

We map the funnel end to end, demand, traffic, landing, checkout, retention, and find where growth is actually constrained. That is very often not the channel you were about to spend more on.

What you get

  • A ranked list of where growth is leaking, from your own data
  • A business case per recommendation, so they can be compared on value
  • A first sprint specified clearly enough to start without us
02

Fix the measurement

Weeks 2–4

Before we optimise anything we make sure the numbers can be trusted. Tracking, consent and attribution set up properly, brand separated from non-brand, and revenue joined to spend at the level decisions get made.

What you get

  • Tag management rebuilt as one documented container
  • Consent handled correctly and verified in every consent state
  • Your reporting reconciled against finance, not against a platform dashboard
03

Execute across channels

Month 2 onward

Search, social, CRO, email and creative run as one plan against one set of targets, rather than four specialists each optimising the number they are measured on.

What you get

  • One roadmap with named owners and agreed priorities
  • Experiments run with a hypothesis and a decision rule agreed up front
  • Creative briefed against what the data says is working
04

Compound it

Ongoing

Small, tested gains every month. That is what produces a step change over a year, and it is the part that only works if the first three phases were done honestly.

What you get

  • A working cadence you can actually attend, weekly or fortnightly, your call
  • Every change logged, so a result can be traced to a cause
  • Quarterly re-audit, because the bottleneck moves once you fix one
03The first 90 days

What actually happens, week by week.

  1. Days 1–5Kick-off, access, and the audit questionnaire. We need read-only access to analytics, ad accounts and commerce, read-only, and revocable.
  2. Days 6–14The Growth Audit lands: bottlenecks ranked, business cases attached, first sprint specified.
  3. Days 15–30Measurement fixed and verified. You get the dashboard, with your finance targets loaded as the thing performance is paced against.
  4. Days 31–60First sprint shipped. Usually the highest-value fix the audit found, which is often not a campaign change.
  5. Days 61–90Second sprint, plus the first honest read on whether the first one worked, measured against a baseline we can both see.
04, How we operate

Four things we hold to.

01

We measure before we optimise

Optimising on numbers you cannot trust is how agencies produce excellent reports and flat revenue. If the measurement is broken, fixing it is the first engagement, and we will say so before you sign, not after.

02

We are allowed to tell you to spend less

If the audit says your paid media is fine and the problem is retention, that is what the audit says. An agency that can only ever recommend more of its own service is not giving you advice.

03

One team, one set of targets

Channel specialists optimising their own metric is how a funnel ends up internally inconsistent. Everyone works to the same commercial number.

04

You can see everything, whenever

Every client gets our analytics platform free. Not a monthly PDF: the live view, with the source labelled on every figure.

05How you see the work

You get the live view, not a monthly PDF.

Every client gets our analytics platform free. Ad spend joined to revenue, creative-level return, and pacing against the target your finance team actually set, with the source labelled on every figure.

06, Honestly

When we're not the right fit

  • You'd rather not receive honest feedback.
  • You want to start executing before any research. we work from data first.
  • Your ambitions and your actions don't match.
  • You don't really want to grow, and you're quietly fine as things are.
  • You want a strategy document the length of a Dickens novel. We keep it pragmatic.
FAQ

Questions we get asked

How long before we see results?
Measurement fixes and quick wins usually land inside the first month. Structural gains, SEO, CRO, retention, compound over quarters. We will tell you which bucket your goals fall into before you commit, not after.
Do you work on retainer or per project?
Both. Most partnerships are ongoing because compounding improvement needs time, but a Growth Audit or a single strategy engagement is a normal way to start, and a reasonable way to find out whether you want the rest.
Who actually does the work?
The people you meet. Six specialists across strategy, channels, data and creative. We are deliberately small enough that you are not handed to a junior after the pitch.
What do you need from us?
Read-only access to your data, one person who can make decisions, and a willingness to hear that the problem is not where you thought it was.
What happens if it is not working?
You will hear it from us first, with the numbers. We would rather have that conversation in month three than lose the account in month nine.
Can we keep our existing agency for some channels?
Yes, and sometimes that is the right answer. What does not work is two parties optimising the same funnel against different targets, so we would want the measurement to be shared.
