Four platforms. Most brands need one, sometimes two.

They are not interchangeable and they do not share a playbook. What works on Meta dies on TikTok, and Pinterest behaves more like search than social.

  • You sell direct to consumers and want paid social to carry real revenue.
  • You would rather run one platform properly than four badly.
  • You want to be told which ones to ignore for now.

What the free Growth Audit gives you

  • Which platforms are worth your budget, and which to leave alone for now.
  • Where budget is spread too thin for any of them to learn.
  • Creative that is being reposted rather than cut for each platform.
  • What each platform is really contributing, against your own orders.
01The problem

Running everywhere, winning nowhere?

The usual shape:

  • Budget spread thin across four platforms, none with enough data to learn.
  • The same creative reposted everywhere, native to none of it.
  • Each platform reporting a win, with the totals exceeding actual revenue.

Pick fewer. Feed them properly. Add the next one when the first is boring.

01Platform choice

Which ones are worth your budget.

An honest pass through the four, in the order most ecommerce brands should consider them.

Start here

Meta

Facebook and Instagram. The deepest targeting data and the most mature automation. For most ecommerce brands this is paid social, and the rest is a supplement.

Only if your audience genuinely is not there, which is rarer than people assume.

If you can feed it

TikTok

Real reach into younger buyers, and cheap when the creative lands. The platform rewards volume and native feel over polish.

Not without a creative cadence you can sustain. Ideas burn here in days rather than weeks, and a quarterly shoot will not keep up.

Underrated for some

Pinterest

Behaves more like search than social: people arrive planning something. Long consideration windows suit interiors, fashion, weddings and food.

Low volume for most other categories. Worth testing, rarely worth leading with.

B2B only

LinkedIn

The only platform where you can target by job title and company with any precision. For B2B that precision is worth the price.

Expensive per click, and for consumer ecommerce almost never the right call.

We will tell you which to leave alone. Spreading a budget across four platforms usually means none of them gets enough data to learn from.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Which platform should we start with?
Meta, for almost every ecommerce brand. It has the most mature automation and the deepest data, so it learns fastest from the budget you give it. Add a second only once the first is running without needing attention.
Can we run the same creative everywhere?
You can, and it underperforms everywhere. Each platform has a native feel, and ads that ignore it get scrolled past. Formats can be cut from the same shoot, but the edit should differ.
How much budget does a platform need?
Enough for its algorithm to find a pattern, which means enough conversions per week to learn from. Below that threshold you are paying for noise. We will tell you what that looks like for your category.
Do the platforms' numbers add up?
No, and that is normal. Each counts generously within overlapping attribution windows, so the totals exceed what the business took. We report against your own order data as well as theirs.
